This version of Gatwick airport now works with version 5.1 and blends perfectly with England1.zip by John Waller.
Many thanks to all the people who said nice things to what I thought was a very modest effort in the first place.
To make this scenery work with England1.zip please do the following:
Create a sub directory eg. C:\fltsim5\gatwick\scenery and place the 4 BGLS here.
Then create c:\fltsim5\gatwick\texture, and place all the *.r8 files here.
Make this directory LOCAL with the scenery manager and ensure that it`s priority is HIGHER that the directory where England1 is installed.
You will also need the texture files from the AIRPORT program. Please place all of these *.oav files in the common c:\fltsim5\texture sub-directory.
Take a look at the BMPs and you will see that I am working on some visual stuff to enhance the London area. As you can see it is in it`s early stages. But I am particulaly pleased with the Nat west building and the docklands area. The final version will be pretty huge and I will try to cover as much detail as possible. It is all designed to compliment John Wallers England1.zip. A lot of authors are beginning to do similar with other parts of the UK, (Flyde, North West England, Brum, E.Midlands, Coventry, Etc.) I strongly recommend a look at these sceneries if you enjoy flying in England.
